Palak Muchhal was born on 30 March 1992 into a middle class Maheshwari Marwari family in Indore. Her mother, Amita Muchhal, is a homemaker and her father, Rajkumar Muchhal, serves as an accountant in a private firm. She has one younger brother, Palash Muchhal. She is doing her final year of B.Com from a college in Indore. Muchhal started singing when she was aged four. She has been trained in Indian classical music and can sing in 17 different languages.
